About Us

Our Beliefs

Health is a fundamental human right, and everyone has the right to health. However, currently, only 14% of the 55 million Tanzanians have health insurance, whereby the majority of the population has no means to access healthcare. Our mission is to provide as many Tanzanians as possible with health insurance, allowing them to get access to healthcare, diagnose their health concerns and get medical treatment. We are currently working in the city of Morogoro in Tanzania, but our aim is to expand our activities to cover even more cities and regions in Tanzania.

Together with the community leaders, we identify children and young adults from low-income families who need medical support. We then purchase them health insurance, whereby they will get access to healthcare and get treatment for their medical concerns.

Theofrida was the inspiration for establishing the Health Tanzania Foundation. Theofrida was suffering from haemangioma, causing painful lumps on the surface of her tongue. Since Theofrida didn’t have health insurance, she could not afford to seek treatment for her condition. Health for Everyone provided Theofrida with health insurance, whereby she was able to start treatment. In this picture, you can see the happy Theofrida healed after 10 months of medical treatment.
